Reiki is a form of alternative medicine developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui. Since originating in Japan, reiki has been adapted into varying cultural traditions across the world.
I was one of the very first Reiki practitioners in our local area having done my master’s degree back in 1996 and still continue to use the traditional Usui System. My tutor who is now in spirit bought it over from America back in the late eighties and trained with the descendant of Hawayo Takata who bought it to the attention of the western world.
